Fiona is a qualified coach, trainer and facilitator with over 15 years business and management experience. She is also a Chartered Accountant and former Finance Director. Her corporate background is in the Accountancy, Pharmaceutical and Financial Services sectors (GlaxoSmithkline plc, Ernst & Young, AMP Asset Management plc). Her experience includes outstanding operational, change management and leadership skills. Fiona is a confident communicator with excellent strategic thinking and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of an organisation.
Qualifications & Memberships
Fiona has an advanced diploma from The Coaching Academy (qualifying
with distinction), is a qualified NLP practitioner and is currently
training for her NLP Master Practitioner. She is a Member of the Association
for Coaching. Fiona trained as a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW
while working at Ernst & Young and before that obtained a BA (hons)
from The University of Durham.
Background
Having spent 11 years with Ernst & Young, AMP Asset Management plc
and with GlaxoSmithKline plc, Fiona understands the pressures, boundaries
and expectations of the corporate world (particularly within the Finance
and Financial Services sectors) and the need to find ways of working
that meets others' needs as well as that of the individual or the
team. With experience of running a business, and having worked with
entrepreneurs and sole traders, she understands how easy it is to
become immersed in immediate priorities and how important it is to
keep focused on the big picture.
Fiona's coaching is practical, positive, energetic, challenging and results driven. Her professional and business-like, but warm and friendly approach makes it easy for clients to build up the trust and rapport that are essential in a successful coaching relationship where confidentiality (of professional and personal information) is a must. Fiona coaches and mentors individuals and teams, and specializes in Leadership and Management coaching. She runs workshops and training events, and often facilitates large and complex business meetings. She likes to practice her facilitation skills by running charity auctions in her spare time.
Fiona's considerable coaching expertise comes from working with a wide variety of business and personal clients. Her Executive Coaching experience gained within a range of corporates, including GlaxoSmithkline plc, Clydesdale Bank plc, Vantis plc, Reed Business Information Ltd, and she has successfully coached within a number of small businesses and with individual professionals around career and work challenges.
